Software Engineer
|
Overview:
Aboundi is seeking a Software Engineers to primarily work on the design and
development of embedded C/C++ software for a multi-platform network management system. Reporting to the Software Development Manager, this position will ideally be filled by an individual with a minimum of two years of software development experience, particularly with C/C++ development. Familiarity with TCP/IP, embedded systems, and Linux is required, and knowledge of Network protocols is highly desirable.
Major Responsibilities/Requirements:
The successful candidate will be responsible for writing design and functional
specifications, implementing new application features, and maintaining the existing software base. We are looking for a creative team player who is eager to learn, is willing to take on challenging roles, and enjoys working with a highly energetic group of talented engineers.
Education: A Bachelor degree is required for this position.

Senior/Principle Software Engineer
|
Overview:
Reporting to the Software Development Manager, Aboundi seeks experienced software engineers to work on the development of an advanced network service assurance system. This position requires proficiency in C/C++, RT embedded and Linux OS application development, and in-depth experience with various network standards. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with network management system such as online games and associated technologies, and will have developed application software for powerline networks. A thorough understanding of network quality and performance factors and error correction techniques is also highly desirable.
Major Responsibilities/Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of four years of software development experience, including an extensive background writing multi-threaded applications using C or C++. Excellent communication skills are required as this position is required to write functional and detailed design specifications for new product features. The candidate must be a self-directed team player who enjoys a fast-paced, creative environment.
Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (or equivalent degree) is required.

Field Application Engineers
|
Overview:
The Aboundi Field Application Engineer is a professional who has extensive technical experience supporting the sales efforts for high-value, IP-based, networking solutions at multiple levels customers. Highly developed organizational and people skills are a must as you will be establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with large, high-profile accounts. These positions require individuals who can display strong knowledge in a number of technologies, can operate under minimal supervision, are self-motivated, fast learners, and are highly competent in communicating technology concepts with customers, partners, sales, and fellow employees. Approximately travel within the supported region should be expected.
Major Responsibilities/Requirements:
Reporting to the company's Sales Director, the Field Application Engineer at Aboundi is responsible for delivering product, services, and consultative support to prospective and existing Aboundi customers. Additionally,
he/she will meet or exceed regional support, sales, and business development
objectives in collaboration with the regional sales team; use technical and business
writing skills to respond to technical portions of new business proposals; provide pre-sales product Proof of Concept (POC) oversight to ensure clients are successful with the company's products and understand their capabilities, including planning,
installing; develop and deliver product presentations at customers, conferences, and other venues as required.
Additional Requirements:

Background Required:
The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of strong pre-sales or IT service engineering experience gained by working with telecommunications carriers or large enterprises. Previous experience working for a growing data/voice products company is desired, particularly working from either a remote or home office. The Field Application Engineer at Aboundi needs to be technically competent and hands-on in the following areas: data and voice network design; network protocols like TCP/IP and SNMP; professional service experience with enterprise information system; familiarity with network monitoring or test tools; high degree of knowledge of network design principles, including VLAN implementation, subnet, spanning tree, VLAN trunk, and inter-VLAN routing; familiarity with IP routing protocols.
Education: A Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
